December 2014 - Museum Acquires New Aviation Art

The Canadian Aviation Heritage Centre near Montreal recently acquired another outstanding collection of aviation and space art. The collection was generously donated by Mr. Sam Kloda a Montreal Financial Advisor. Comprised of 32 original paintings by Canadian and international artists the collection depicts the country's flying heritage from the early days to space exploration.

The inauguration was attended by Sam Kloda as well as renowned aviation artists Don Connolly, Jim Bruce and Brian Sturrock. Mr. Connolly also donated one of his paintings to complement the CAHC gallery. During the official opening the president of the Centre, Mr. John Lawson said, "We are immensely proud that the CAHC has been selected to present the collection to the public. The combination of the Kloda and Pasmore Collections constitutes the finest display of aviation art in the Province of Quebec".
